G'day folks,

Thinking of buying a 2004 LX RA model Rodeo cab chassis with 3L turbo diesel/intercooler. Is there anything that I should be aware of? Do these vehicles have a good/bad reputation? I'm quiet new to these vehicles, so any info would help.

Thanks guys.

Great vehicle as an all-rounder.

If the suspension is still standard the rear will be too hard and the front will have sagged noticeably. The front can be wound up but the spring rates are shocking afterwards.

Best invest in a complete setup that suits your needs...ie if you want Bullbar (steel v ally) canopy, Dual batt etc then set it up and then get the suspension that suits the typical setup you now have.

Otherwise sort the front and use airbags to control the rear if you regularly change the load in the rear otherwise (like all dual cabs) the ride is agricultural in the rear, to say the least.

Good vehicle, plenty of spares and accessories and supported nationwide.

All the best

Matt.
