We plan to do the Yunta to Balcanoona road via Frome Downs in April 09. Are there any reports of its condition?

Its a big wide gravel road when dry

Its a sloppy slippery boggy road when wet

it's a good road that you can accomplish in a fully loaded Magna station wagon with three strapping lads on board (UNLESS.....it's been raining!). It is regularly maintained and should present no problems for you at all.

Yes it is a good gravel road, HOWEVER, don't be lulled into a false sense and drive to fast otherwise you will get caught-out in loose gravel on sweeping bends.
