Go across the Nullabor until you get to Midland
Junction, head down to
Pinjarra where the
Murray River flows past the town, follow it into the Williams ,
Or go to
Cardwell North Qld and you'll cross the
Murray River just South of
Tully.. .....
As for the BIG
Murray River I reackon you would be pushing your luck, at a guess the Govt' and greenies would have that all locked up being in the
Kosciuszko National Park, Looking on my Garmin Mapsource the nearest track is Cowombat Flat Track,
.

Hi Haminator,
We're planning a similar trip, but have not been able to find the coordinates for the actual source. (I believe there is a carin to mark
the spot).
Did you find the coordinates?
If you have run the trip, what were the tracks like?
Cheers,
GUVan

Here is a few photos of what you will find.
I didn't take these pictures a friend of
mine did and gave me copies.
They were taken during the expidition to re establish the Black - Allan line which is the straight bit of the Vic/NSW border and it obviously starts at the begining of the
Murray River.
The access is resstricted and you will have to walk in from the Cowombat Flat Track.
Cheers
