Hi
This question will prove my lack of knowledge when it comes to electricity.
My vehicle has a single under bonnet battery, with a Redarc sending power to an Anderson plug for twin batteries in the camper trailer.
I branched off power in the rear of the wagon to run the 12 volt fridge, and understand that after starting, and recharging the cranking battery, power then goes to the rear and the trailer batteries.
The big question is: When the vehicle is shut down, the alternator is not charging and the Redarc supposedly stops sending power to the back, but does the power from the trailer batteries run backwards to the fridge, or does the fridge close down if the draw on the cranking battery reaches critical mass?
Cheers and thanks
Ian

"does the power from the trailer batteries run backwards to the fridge,"

This is exactly what will happen provided obviously that your anderson plug is connected.

Assuming that you branched the power to the fridge between the redarc and the anderson plugs then the fridge will run while the camper batteries are connected to the vehicle via anderson plug.

Electricity is not like water it will "flow" both ways ie there is no forwards or backwards.
