rodeo lift

hey all, i was reading a 4x4 book on the weekend and i seen extended shackels to fit rodeo. i was woundering if they are worth it as a cheap lift. cuz im only an apprentice so get f all pay.

They are not legal from what I read. In saying that my 3" Lift Kit for my Rodeo has a set as part of the kit. I have added a link below so you can check that kit out. Cheers Tony

i have used extended shackles on rodeos over the years. in nsw i believe they are still illegal but they are a good way for a cheap lift.

the only concern i had was ripping the bracket off the chassis which will happen due to the lateral stress applied during full spring movement. this is not serious and is overcome by reinforcing the weak tack welds or rewelding when it pulls off.
