I wouldnt risk any great distance on a quad without Roll over protection... sure way of killing yourself when 400kg of bike rolls on you.. Michael

There was a trip to the cape done on Ride On Mowers a few years back, don't know all the details but a mate that worked for one of the local mower shops went on it.

we came accross a old bloke on a quad up the cape last july just north of nolan brook and again near the ferry
he was having a bit of a hard time steering as the track (ie width across between wheels) of of the quad meant he had one wheel in the ruts and 1 wheel out of the ruts and also a problem in sand with one side in wheel track and 1 in loose sand.
i can think of easier things to drive /ride but still far superior to a push bike.
