Noticed KMart currently selling Coleman Hot water on demand for $349.00. I'm thinking of getting one. Is this a good price or should I look for a better bargain?

Norma price around the caravan & camping stores is around $349 - $389.
K' mart had them on special at the Pre Christmas sale at $269.
They went like hot cakes as did the Jackaroo Rotary Camp Cloths Lines at $19.95 (We bought one of those). They normally retail at $69 and have seen them as 'Red Hot' special at caravan shows for $40.

Hi Craig,
Just did a quick Google and came up with the following.

Coleman package

Coleman unit

Might want to see what is being offered at K-mart.

Cheers,
Wayne.

The price in that 2nd link is in $US, so it would be a bit dearer in $AUS.

It's strange that a WA based company would quote $US.

Hi Graeme,

I did take it for granted that being an Australian company that prices were in AUD, as indicated at the bottom of the 1st checkout page.

Cheers,
Wayne.

Craig you'll be better buying a package somewhere,I'm sure i paid $249 two years ago at Caulfield Caravan Camping Show...Might pay till one comes up near you, wherever that maybe..

The fall in the Aussie dollar hasn't helped either...

Cheers

I bought one about 12mths ago for $279 from K-Mart, just hang a bit and wait for a camping sale then you should be able to pick one up cheap.

I noticed one in a Melbourne KMart last weekend that had the shelf price as $499. Perhaps this is the price of the next shipment?

Thats great BUt do they work? How hard are they to store? ie in the back of the trusty vehicle.
Good for a shower - can I mount it in the van and run hot water through to the sink and an outside shower as well?

Hi Bbuzz - Best, most reliable and efficient bit of camping gear you will ever buy. Also - makes the ladies WANT to go camping.

Have had ours for over 5 years - and worked it pretty hard.
We have a water filter (5 micron) fitted to the van, and get water from the creek/dam. Run it through the filter - for a good long shower.
Never misses a beat..................Keith.

I saw this idea on another website and lifted a photo (thanks in advance to the original photographer).

It is a collapsible big bucket used to flush your outboard motor. I've seen them at BCF in 2 sizes. Good for a handy supply of water from a creek, dam etc.

This one is 110 litres. Just tie it off to something solid.

Should work well with the Coleman.
