When are you arriving in the Kimberley?

River levels might still be too high for crossing.

Hi Willem,
We should be in Bungle Bungles around April 17, Cape Leveque..21st, Gorges, ....Gibb River road 24th onwards.Well that's the the plan for so far..
We will probably skip Mitchel Falls this time round.

Hi Dust

Yeah...you may be OK. Depending how much rain has fallen this wet. Normally after a big wet season the roads don't open till about mid May

Gidday Dust,
had a look at your trip and reckon you should try to start from Broome first. You can then access Cape Leveque without too many problems and the wx will be getting real nice. Then head up the Gibb River Road, which should be open, and you'll have a better chance of making the crossings. From Adelaide you could use the Tanami, if open, or turn left at Katherine for the pleasant drive down the Victoria Highway.
I say this so that you can achieve your trip without too many dramas.
See you on the track
Cheers

Howdy BT,
Thanks for you suggestions.. Technically.. and apart from the Bungle Bungels on the way we will be heading to Broome first, then the Gibb River road.
Keep an eye out for us, we have a huge Palm Cockatoo on the front and a Brolga onn the back of our Troopy. My wife did a great job.
HF Call sign 3157... and UHF will beon.
