Hey Oldbaz
Next time you post pics of the fish, make sure you take the bits of newspaper of the tail before taking photos.... )))

That looks great, all up, good memories for you.
Cheers

Baz,

Great Barra and a nice brace of Jewies - boy they go hard on light gear. I bet you are already planning next years trip !

Well done,

Willie.

G'day Oldbaz,

That is some nice fish you have there and the muddies too off course. Makes you wonder why we are sitting at our computers doesn't it?

Kind regards

Go west young man - where the barra are bigger. This one was caught and released from the confluence of the King Edward and Carson Rivers some 20 km south of Kalumburu in the north Kimberely in late May last year. 110 cm long and as fat as a pig. I am 6'5''

You are quite correct. Locals dont get out of bed for anything under a metre, & wouldnt eat one caught in the freshwater.
Us tourists are far more lenient...:))))...oldbaz.

Hey Oldbaz

Lucky you didn't come out with me on the weekend, all you would have got was sun burnt and learnt how not to fish, we fished the run off on the out going tide on the East Alligator Sat and Sunday, I have never worked so hard to catch nothin.

Anyway it looks like you had a great time, those Dewies let you know who's boss hey.

Cheers Steve.

G'day Steve, sorry to hear you had no luck. We successfully fished
the Finnis River for Barra, an hour either side of low or high water.
The Jews were captured about 100 metres off the Dundee beach
boatramp at dead low, in less than 2 metres of water on a small
reef. Got 5 & lost twice that many in 1/2 an hour, then show was over...cheers....oldbaz.
