Tonight we have had the pleasure of having Peter and Margaret of EO fame and their friends Rudi and Susi, stay over in our backyard
One OKA weighs 8 ton while the other chimes in at 6.5 ton. Pretty awesome machines all decked out for serious travelling. Both couples are pretty much 'on the road' for most of the year and only paying fleeting visits to their respective homes.
I have thought about upgrading to something bigger but I think, on reflection, that I will stick to my much simpler travelling set-up....:-)
Cheers

Hey Willem
I have 2 OKA's in my back yard too,
mine only weigh 4.5 ton each.
1 has the standard 110 phaser engine and the other has a 135 phaser, it should be completed next week, then they go into
Darwin for the
sign writing.
They are truly a tough machine.
Cheers Steve.

Hi Willem
Peter and Margaret's looks like a great rig. Following their adventures on the internet, they have certainly taken it to a lot of out of the way
places. Say g'day to them from me.

Hi Motherhen,
Any chance you could provide the internet address for Peter and Margaret? I would be keen to
check it out.
Cheers
Phil

Willem,
I ran into Peter and Margaret at
Honeymoon Bay last year and then spotted their vehicle in the Warrumbaungles 3 months later. They certainly get around and an awesome touring vehicle.

Hi Willem
If Rudi and Susi are still there, ask them if they are into "Degree Confluences" It sounds like the same people that pipped me to the post by 5 weeks last year, in a then unvisited confluence west of Giles on the Old Abandoned Section of the Gunbarrel - the location is S25 E128
If it is them, give them my regards.
Stephen

That was Susi & Ruedi, Stephen.
We got them into Confluences after we did S22 E123 and S22 E122 in the Rudall area in 2005.
Cheers,
Peter

Is "Confluenses" the same as "wife swapping?"

Hi Willem
Please say hello to Rudi and Susi and friends.
We passed them on the Milmed Track in the
Wyperfeld National Park a weekend ago. Two Terracans and a Jackaroo flew past (sought of) as they were pondering how to get the 8 tonne Oka past a very soft sandy part of the track. They kindly backed up the track to allow us to pass them.
Nice to know they made it out...thought they would actually.
Cheers
Brad
BTW have a look at their website...interesting.
