Hey guys,
well as you know i bought myself an FJ73, the back left hand
barn door is having problems with its central locking (after market i assume!) so i was going to take off the trim and have a wee look what the problem seems to be. So i unscrew the centre screw in the door release handle and expect to just be able to pull it straight out and off.. This isnt the case, i even tried on the other doors, not the case either. Is there some trick in getting the handle off so i can remove the trim? If anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated as its turning a 5 minute job into an hour long job! LOL
Help please!

If you mean the plastic bit that opens the door from the inside, it has to be slid about 10mm to the right after removing the screw.
Then you have to flip the plastic clip and separate the rod from the mechanism .
I havent done a
barn door before ,but it looks the same as the front doors.
To undo the plastic clips that hold the door trim to the door ,there is a range of
tools at parts store starting at $5 .

A good wide flat screwdriver or a thick bladed knife will save you the $5

Im not sure why id need a tool to release the plastic clips? I usually just pull them off with my fingers carefully.
But yeah thanks heaps guys!
