Litchfield NP via Cox Peninsula Rd

I'm getting conflicting information regarding the road into Litchfield NP via Cox Peninsula Rd. Is Litchfield Park Rd sealed or unsealed from the Cox Peninsula Rd to the NP Boundary and on to Wangi Falls? I am researching options in getting a caravan to Wangi Falls but only on sealed roads. I know I can do it via Batchelor.

Thanks

If you want to stay on the bitumen you will have to go via Batchelor which is a much nicer drive anyway because going the other way can be pretty ordinary especailly after the wet. There are two camp grounds at Wangi, one right at the Falls which is run by Parks and Wildlife which is very busy in the tourist season and the other one is just up the road and very nice, even a pool for the kids. There are a couple of Carvan Parks in Batchelor as well.

I believe there is a river crossing on the Cox Peninsula Rd to Litchfield - not big but could be problems with a normal caravan. Can be up to 600 deep when the road is open.

Can get deep after a storm. It's actually on the Litchfield Park Rd off the Cox Peninsula Rd and it's the Finniss River as you said not a big one but it can get deep, I've seen up to the windows of old a Landy.

Thanks to all for making the effort to respond. It looks as though Batchelor is the way to go for me this trip.
