83 pajero motor conversion from diesel to petrol

I have a pajero with a blown 4d55 turbo diesel motor. I have been told that this could be replaced with a commonly available sigma motor. Can anyone confirm this? Will it bolt straight on and are the engine mounts in the same place? Any major difficulties with this conversion?
