Hi all, I'm taking the family northwards on Monday (hopefully the traffic will be ok by then).
Just looking at the map. Usually I'd just go straight up the Bruce, however it looks like you could take a more direct route by hooking left just after Gympie to Woologa, then up through Biggenden and on to
Childers. This bypasses
the loop through
Maryborough. Has anybody tried this route? are the roads ok and is it any faster?
Cheers,
PJ.

I have travelled on some of it more scenic and
less trucks but not as direct, the road was okay and not too busy.
all the best

According to my map it is 1km further. Went that way once. Doubt it if you will do it in less time.
Cheers
