Hi Guy's does anyone know where I can buy Duragal in a spray can in NSW.
Need some for touch up on the Caravan and might give it a go on the Boat trailer and see how long it lasts.
Can't seem to find the stuff in Bunnings they have white knight products, and no one else has heard of the stuff.
Cheers Justin.

Thanks Paul. Hmmm Blackwoods is that in
Singleton N.S.W.
I would prefer something on the Central coast that be a bit closer.
Cheers.

Hi, There's a Blackwoods at Wickham, and I think the new one is open at Beresfield, in the industrial estate. Oops, just had a look at heir website, doesnt mention Beresfield, so Wickham near
Newcastle city centre best I can advise. Cheers, Dave

I reckon a Metaland outlet would be a good bet also as they carry most colourbond touch ups so duragal could be half a chance.

If you warm the steel prior to application it does seem to bond better. I just leave the box trailer out in the sun on a warm day and it is warm enough.
The local Mitre 10 has both the tins and the spray can here in Hornsby.

After trying the galmet / duragal etc several times on a boat trailer i was dissapointed with how quickly rust re - appeared thru it.
When i rebuilt the trailer fully a year or so back - I decided to so the same treatement BUT afterwards i coated with the aluminium bitumenous tar stuff - and no
sign of any recurring rust at all.
Only mistake I made was when i did the rims - I got the bitumenous aluminium paint onto the tyre valve stems and it melted the glue that holds the valve inside the rubber valve stem.
I run my tandem boat tyres at about 70psi and it belw all the valves out of the valve stems - so I ended up replacing all of them including the 2 spares.
Lesson learned - keep solvent based paints away from tyre valve stems.
Cheers
