When was the Stuart Highway upgraded to a sealed all weather standard?
We drove Alice-
Darwin 2001 and it was magnificent.

Edwin, the highway north of Alice has been tarred since mosses was a boy. I have travelled it dozens of times and it was tar in 1968. The road south was dirt from Alice to
Pimba (in SA) up to about 1975 but not sure of the exact year.
