I am contemplating doing the Nathan River Road from Katherine through to Borroloola in Jun/Jul.

Would appreciate any advice about the river crossings and fuel as it appears to be 860km through there.

Hi Alan

River crosings to the north of Nathan River Ranger Station are all concrete (from memory). To the south of there the river crossings are deep drops but by June/July should not be more than half wheel in water depth.

Cheers

George

It is a detour from Borroloola to Mataranka via the Roper Bar.

Trek notes on this site.
