Just curious, but now that the car has been recovered, what happens about the insurance claim submitted?

insurance companies always alow 2 to 3 weeks for the car to be found , then they conduct there " investigation " , could take up to 1 month or more in some cases . It all depends on how the car is found , if it is in good order, you take it back . If you have received a cheque , then the Insurance company owns the car .

well if you dont make a claim , then no , but if you make a claim for either the whole car or even repairs if its found , then you loose it

Yea Im thinking if you report you have an car stolen to the insurance company, and it gets recoverd wthin 2 weeks, do you lose it? Even though you havent made the claim fully..

Fella's. I'm a copper and I can tell you now, the amount of information we recieve from 'tip offs' is unbeleivable. Don't ever think that you information is not used. We might not always have the time to get back to you individually but we do try. For eg: an old lady rang in the other day and said that she had heard a couple of young fellows complaining about how sore they were after an accident. They wouldn't go to the hospital, she thought it was strange, she rang up, they are now in Gaol. They had stolen a car, we had the DNA but no record listed. we do now.

Keep looking out for each other its your best defence. Even if you think it's not worth it, give em a call, every little bit helps.

Cheers.

Good on you Eric and thanks - every membership helps me to keep this thing going. It does not line my pockets in fact the linings in my pockets are still being raped by the ISP's. Welcome, you will be setup when Juliana is next in the office on Wednesday - get those 100 series pics out so that we can see the machine saved from the clutches of Richard Heads (sorry of there is a real Richard Head out there).Regards
