Easter weekend out of Karratha

Just a quick follow up to thread 67365. I decided to give the new Tru Blu off road camper a trial run down to Deepdale Gorge. We had a few dramas getting there however as the access roads have been blocked (well sign posted anyway) to construction traffic only as they are working on extending the Mesa railway line.

Does anyone know if there is an alternative public access to Deepdale Gorge?

All was not lost as It turns out we came across a few locals who directed us to an awesome camping spot near Panna Hill just a stones throw from Pannawonica.
