Hi everyone,
We, husband/wife/two
young boys, planning Australia trip for 12 months or so. We've been exploring camper trailer options and thought, through process of elimination, that we'd decided on a
Jimboomba trailer - made in the factory/can be customised to our specs./aluminium construction (a big plus). Then we spotted the Trak Shak - love the layout of their latest model/lots of storage/looks like a great package. So now we're confused all over again. I've read through the Trak Shak threads up to May last year. Please, does anyone have any current criticisms, either positive/negative, regarding either of these trailers?

Hi Michos,
I've owned a Trak Shak for 3 years, apart from a faulty weld on the
suspension that caused a bit of a problem down the
Birdsville Track last year, I have been very happy with
mine. Great as I travel with friends along for the ride so the 2 x Q/S beds that stay made up when the camper is packed up. Tons of storage space and like the web site suggests, very quick to set up for a night - about 10 minutes for a quick o/nite stop. About 30 mins to set up for a longer stay.
Other EO members who also own a Trak Shak may
well add to my comments.
I have not seen the other brand you mention but a quick look at their wegpage shows only 1 bed for starters and the $35000.00 - gets you a complete Trak Shak and lots of fuel to go.
Cheers

I just noticed that I had clicked on the most expensive of Jumboomba's campers - so smaller and less equipment as stardard would of course be less $$
