Last July our family had a wonderful crossing of the
Simpson Desert. However on the last leg into
Birdsville a terrible whine developed in the rear diff. After limping
home to
Toowoomba the local dealer diagnosed a faulty pinion bearing;which was replaced under warranty. However to date the diff. has been apart on three more occasions and there is still a slight whine which disappears during no load situations. This diff.also has an ARB airlocker which may or may not be relevent. If anyone else had had a similar experience/cure I would love to hear from you. There is nothing worse in my opinion than annoying driveline noise.

which bearing/s have been replaced since the first pinion brg failure?
have you tried rotating the tyres?
