Hi All,

Has anyone fitted the outboard holder to the OL rear bar with twin wheel carriers as I am keen to see a photo.

I have contacted OL and they do not have any photo's. I have searched the archives and it has been a while since there has been a post but I am unable to contact the people who had them (time for a fresh post).

Cheers.

Hi David

I do not think there is any premanufactured motor carriers available that I could find.

I have made my own outboard bracket which fits my left hand spare tyre carrier on my 100 series to carry a 30kg 15hp Yamaha. It is very simple and is basically a plate that is the same stud pattern as the wheel and the outboard is clamped and bolted to it. It works great and does not interfere when towing the camper.

I will send you some pictures tonight as they are on my home computer.
I also made a outboard carrier that fits into the hayman reese tow bar for my nissan. This bracket folds down assisted with gas strusts and works great (if not towing a trailer or van). I will also send you some pictures if you are interested in this.

When some people see the motor mounted on the back of the Nissan and ask what it's for? I just tell them its for deep river crossings. Lol. I get many comments like "Wow, that's a great idea". Some people believe anything.

Regards
John

Hi John, OL advertise on their website a factory option for an outboard carrier to suit their rear bars. Unfortunately the local branch are not willing to put some effort in to get more information other than price. Your photo's would be great and a debt of gratitude would follow.

Hi Black Mac, I have tried OL direct and no luck. Mackay are happy to take your money but not follow up with requests for a photo (how hard can it be seeing as they're a dealer).

Regards
David
