Hi Everyone,
Oldest son is looking at a 3lt TD surf with 155000ks.He has done a search on this site but I would like to hear of owners or exowners reports. I know this is the same motor as the 90 series Prado and they do crack cylinder heads. Thanks for your help.
Cheers Pete

Goodday Kev,
The silly boy was offered the Paj at a $1500 discount, but declined. Sold it like a batch of hot cakes. Actually if he had brought it I wouldnt have to put roof racks on the Jack, could just have borrowed his.lol

There is a Surf website check it out, cannot remember the link. They do have the head issues, throw a big radiator in them & check the thermostat that it has been changed to suit Oz conditions. Parts can be an issue but the Surf website will help you here. $16 000 for a 1996 your joking, more like $13 000. The kms well they have been known to whind them back. Ask if they have the original Japanese auction papers to verify Kms on it when left Japan. I know in 96 they changed shape aswell, panels will be an issue with the new shape. But the new shape also came with a centre diff lock - my 97 SSRG Surf had one. The ones with the bonnet scoop / intercooler are the best ones.
