projecta battery charger (not)

Hi all, I purchased a 3 stage battery charger from the caravan and camping show in Jan. 08. Its a cm121150 not cheep at around $250.00. Well it has stopped working, checked the fuse thats ok, just shows no sign of power.
Rang Projecta for their service agent in Adelaide to have it looked at, no such place. It seems if it is not in warranty then they do not want to know. I was told just to find a repairer and see what they can do.
This is not a cheep charger and i find their after sale service leaves a lot to be desired.

SO JUST WARNING OTHERS OF THE ATTITUDE TOWARDS THEIR PRODUCTS OUT OF WARRANTY

I am taking this up with fair trading as i think it should last longer than 16 months.

I fit is the red 15 amp model, I believe it a known issue, mine burnt out & was replaced, then I was asked to bring the second one back, either for replacement with the 10 amp version, that has no problems, or a different brand, which is what I did.

No it is all black. The guy at projecta said they had no problems with them. what model was yours?

I have a Projector battery charger model IC1208 7 stage. I have not yet had a problem with it.

I had a small 6 amp one that died after 6 months and they replaced it with a 3 stage job without any problems. I did not even have to send the boogered one back. Just confined it to the waste bin.
That was 2 years ago and the replacement isstill going strong.
