Hello All,
We're planning to travel from
Brisbane to
Menindee Lakes via
Goondiwindi, Moree, Coonabarabran (1st stop maybe),
Nyngan and
Cobar; then down the eastern bank of the Darling into
Menindee. Is there anybody who can suggest some good
camp sites or caravan parks on this route? We're probably looking for some security and reasonable facilities.
Kind Regards
Paul

Purchase a camps 5 from EO
shop, shows plenty of
free camping sites on that route, other wise c/van parks as you pass through the towns .
Cheers
Baz

An interesting place to stay while at
Menindee is
Nelia Gaari Station. It's a working sheep station and their
camp ground is right on the
Darling River, very nice and peaceful. You might even score a tour of the sheering sheds.

Thanks for your responses Guys,
The camps 5 book will be very sensible I think, and that sheep station on the Darling sounds great.
Regards
Paul

Be warned, if you've never been there before, what looks like a huge
lake on the map, the one on the south side of the
Menindee Rd, was bone dry in 2008. It's being used to graze cattle....
