Eric, his point is they are an import, and most manuals are in Jap that you can get.

ITs a Hilux, get a lux manual.

Eric,
The reason for asking was that the toyota workshop manual is available in japanes, and without being silly there are quiet a few people around that can read japanes perhaps the question should have read "do you read japanes or only english" or find someone to translate. as truckster pointed out 90% the same as hilux. a lot of people have to access to manuals in other languages it was not a smart a## comment pointed at anyone.

Thanks everyone for your responses.
I have the glovebox manual already but I want a Gregory's Style or the Workshop service manual BUT in English.
I think my engine is a 2L model (1992 SSR-X 2.4L TD)

Being a novice to diesel and Surfs, would the BigW Gregory's be for the same engine types??

Also any more mech. tips in general e.g. get a 3L radiator to stop overheating problems?

was in Big W today and noticed they had manuals now for various hilux and 4 runners up up to '96 I think . there were 4 and 6 cylinder engines including v6
Price was about $40 I did not notice all the engine numbers but there were quite a few in the 2 manuals in stock. One of them may suit your purpose.

I bought a Gregory's 4wd General Mechanics Manual - it covers petrol/diesel and general 4WD tips

Would really love a SERVICING SCHEDULE or an idea of how often to service
