New ARB 47ltr Fridge

I'm in the market for a new fridge and was looking at the Waeco 50 ltr, however the ARB 47ltr is very similar in size just a little dearer.

I have not heard too much about the new ARB fridge and was wondering if anyone had some firsthand experience with one of them.

Any comments about problems, reliability or build quality would be appreciated.

Well sorry, though as the poster mentioned the waeco 50lt fridge, they might be interested in knowing where they can get a current good price.

My connection to caravan services is that there is no point in telling someone a good price but not telling them where.

No wonder no one like to post on this forum. See ya.

Yep thats exactly what forums are for mate. And its exactly what this forum is the best at, getting heaps of useful info.
But, who said that no one likes to post info on this site like you mentioned above? If they dont like it then its quiet easy for them to leave. Cheers

I believe the ARB jobby is a rebadged Engel.

At least, that was the case with their original offering.

The original was certainly a rebadged Engel, this one I believe is a rebadged something else, I can't for the life of me remember the brand.

This ARB uses the Danfoss compressor.

currently made by domestic.

Purely for arb's ideas.

I would suggest looking at an evakool.
far better construction than a waeco, better insulation, they all now use the danfoss bd35.

trainslux, looked at the Evakool however the dimensions are a little too big for where I want to carry it, without making major changes. Thanks for the reply.

Seeing no mention yet ,have a look at the fridge shop web site , Google it ,, very often some very good prices for Waeco ,, as an example , bought our 80lt + cover + power converter for just under a grand [fair enough it was 5/6 years ago] when the normal retail price of the fridge alone was over close to $1400.

I thought the new ARB was made by waeco. Has the internals of the CF50 but better and stronger case/lid etc. Not sure where I heard it but it certainly does look like a slightly re-styled CF50 to me. Has same compressor, shape/dimensions etc.
