Trailer brakes

Simple question, can disc brakes be run as electric or are they only used wth drum brakes?

Disc brakes can be activated via manual over ride OR electric.

Kimberly Kampers have do use both manual overide and more recently electric

If they are electric I think they have to be electric/hydraulic which is a fairly expensive system, but very good.

The only way that I know of to run them electrically is like the KK ones....actually a unit made by Hydrastar which is fed by a brake controller ( like Prodigy ) and that in turn operates the hyd fluid as per normal..... but starts at approx $1000
