Hi

Im new to the site and hoping to get some advice to start exploring WA. I bought a Ford Escape when i came to WA last year and it has done well on my 'tourist' trips but im now wanting to explore a bit further.

I will be looking mostly at sand driving as im into surfing and fishing so i dont think il be doing anything to extreme. (i know it couldnt handle that anyway)

It is an XLS 4 cyliner auto so not to much power but light.

any advice people can offer would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
Scott

Hi Scott,

The Compact 4WD CXlub of WA, MANY thanks to David and Michelle for allowing us to advertise on their site, would be a good place to start. The club runs trips suitable for the compact 4WD we are aware of the vehicle's capabilities.

We have a club trip on Sunday, for more information e-mail us at compact4wdwa@yahoo.com.au or visit our

Hi Scott. Don't see any prob as the Escape is similar to the Mazda Tribute. Being lightweight has it's advantages in sand, if you drop tyre pressures down to about 16psi, and remember not to speed along the beach at these pressures.
Sounds like good advice from the other reply.

cheers
