Yes this weekend is the Labour Day Weekend, public holiday on monday, I noticed lots of 4x4's all packed up heading south, lucky buggers, It got me thinking about the last Labour Day Weekend when we also went away, we were all set up on the camp site when a middle aged couple turned up, they started to erect their tent, he was doing all the work while she was reading the instructions on how to put the tent up, finally after about one hour they had finished, then they pulled a inflatable mattres out of a box and tried to blow it up by mouth, I couldn't stand it any longer and went over and offered to pump it up with the truck pump, he was rapped, we had it pumped up in about 50 seconds, then they pulled out a little Gas Light and Gas Stove and a couple of Chairs, and they were ready for a good weekend, we were sitting back having a drink and watching the Sunset and our new neighbour came over, and asked if he could borrow a bottle opener, ok they got that, and then a bit later he came over again, have you got a gas light mantle, I said no but let me have a look at yours, apparently he didn't tie it on properly and it fell off when he tried to light it,anyway I fixed that up, then everybody settled down for the night, and all was good, then about 9-00pm we heard this bellowing noise comming from our new neighbours tent, yes both of them were snoring in unison, this went on all night, and it went on for the 3 nights they stayed there, we were talking to some campers adjacent to us and they mentioned the bellowing noise as if they were blaming us, Nah not us mate, I told them were it was comming from, how can you tell people to quiten their snoring down? they were very nice people who apparently had little camping experience and I wasn,t going to spoil their adventure by complaining, we never got our bottle opener back either, just as well we had a spare, lol lol.

Cheers

The last time I asked to borrow anything on a camping trip was around 40 years ago. We had forgotten to bring anything to put the pegs in with, so my bro asked a bloke if he could borrow a hammer ! After that experience I'd rather sleep in the vehicle than have to ask for anything.
That way I can keep my snoring away from others. My niece recorded me snoring like a chain saw...YIKES!

I only snore when I am very tired. I had a kip in the daytime at 80 mile beach after driving all night etc etc and a bloke came and asked how long were we staying...cheeky b! I asked the bro which tent was he in and later on went for a wander...guess where the snoring was coming from at that time ?
I don't get angry very often (yeah right) but I was angry !

My wife always rekkoned that she didn't snore. For 30 years I threatened to record her ...and finally did. But I destroyed the recording without playing it to her as I wanted our marriage to last :))

Yeh Footy I usually get an elbow in the Ribs when I snore, but the Cook reckons she snores after a couple of Wines, something about being relaxed, lol lol. I blame my snoring on having Sinus problems, and a few drinks doesn't make it any better.

Daza, I went into Beauy about 9:00 a.m. this morning to go to the Markets and the 30 klm trip was one long line of campers going south - Jeep clubs, old chevvy clubs, other clubs - interestingly, mostly campers very few caravans.
