Has anyone been to the
gawler ranges lately. I have a friend who wants to come in with me but he has a Mitsubishi
sedan, On Road type Magna with an on road van. How are the roads for this type of vehicle...Kerry Mac

A number of the main roads would be ok. However if it is wet it would be no go unless in a 4WD

Thanks Mike,
Are the main roads to the
camping ground the ones that would be ok. If so that would ok because we can travel in my car.

The web has good information and maps - see
this site.
You would need a 4WD to get to most of the attractions. The
Gawler Ranges is one of my favourite
places - we camped their in January (it was a bit warm!)

Hi Kerry,
Like above providing that it is dry. The roads in that area are usually in good condition, as it is the quickest way from the west, via
Ceduna up to the Centre and beyond. With the van, keep the tyre pressures down and take your time.
Cheers
Stephen
