Vibration in 2001 3L Tdi Patrol

I know this has been asked and answered before, but I cant find the previous posts. I have a 2001 3.0 L Turbo diesel Patrol and there is a vibration that occurs whilst driving...
I comes and goes, and doesnt seem to be at any particular level of revs, but if i Accelerate hard, it seems worse..
It sounds like it is coming from under the dash somewhere, towards the middle is my guess.
Does any one have any suggestions/solutions ?

Have have the same vehicle only a 2000 model. I have similar problem I think in a similar place though i wouldn't call it a vibration.
Mine is more like a 'chirping" sound that comes and goes. Was driving me nuts but now I just ignore it when it comes back.
One thing to
check out is the plastic intercooler cover - if its not seated correctly it will vibrate and bang on other parts. If some apprentice has been servicing your vehicle there is always a chance it hasn't been tightened back up.

Do you have a passenger airbag? Rattling in this area was fixed in my 2002 under warranty.Regds
