You know the one . . . . that was mentioned here the other night? Yeah, Wolfe Creek - that's the one, for those interested, is on at 9:50 on nine tonight. If you're a fraidy cat or need some ammo to talk yourself out of camping - watch it!

What a bleep poor film that was.
Expected something much better than that from all the comments about how it will turn you off camping and scare the crap out of you etc etc.

Its supposed to be based on a true story, I can't believe that if it was true and the survivor didn't really knock off his lady fiends and blame it on some sort of a serial killer doing the job, why can't the cops find the mine site??

Fits in with those other crappy films like Nightmare on Elm Street etc.

Obviously a film that doesn't appeal to all.

Personally I found it very entertaining.

I thought the dramatic climax came when the girl found the video cameras of previous victims and watched the almost identical scenario that sucked her group in.

bleep poor? Maybe when a film's level of sophistication is not matched to the viewer's there is disappointment.

Based on fact? Who cares?

My opinion - B-grade at best.

They didn't even film the movie in WA.

One still picture of the crater. Most of the film was in the Flinders Rangers.

Yes I watched it with anticipation but found it disappointing from the outset. Broome and surrounds does not look like SA and since when can you view the sunrise over the ocean at Broome?

The rest was average. The only parts that were based on a true story was immediately before the bloke went to sleep and after he awoke. The rest is entirely story telling, not that there is anything wrong with that I guess.

Didn't watch, so can't comment on whether it was really shot at Broome or not....except to say that you can watch the sunrise over the ocean at Broome.

All you have to do is stand on the breakwater at Town Beach (next to the Roebuck Bay Caravan Park) and there you have it!

It's the same vantage point from which many people view the Staircase to the Moon.

Cheers

Russ.
