Thinking of going to the snow next winter. I would like to here of some places you have been to in the snow with your van. Caz's last post has sorted my heating thoughts out. Wouldnt mind a caravan park with warm ammenities. Have been to Jindabyne in the summer but wouldnt mind the western side of the Snowies this time.

Hey

Make sure you get the heater before you go.......... otherwise you will end up with all the kids in your bed!!!!!!!

Caz that thought made me laugh imagine 5 of us in a double bed. Not. On a serious note still considering a resort but if it can be done in the van it would save a heck of a lot of money.

Sharon, I don't have much to offer, but we were also at Jindabyne (Big 4) last Dec and saw the great way the place was arranged - like a snow chalet. Had a common building with cooking, shower, drying and rec facilities. Reckon that would be fine in winter. Also, we stayed at Mt Beauty 20 odd years ago. Just drove up to Falls Crk each day to ski - could go in bus too each day if you want. Falls wasn't set up so well as Jindabyne Big 4 back then but still had a good time. We're interested in the same thing - look forward to other ideas. cheers

Just been looking at few internet sights and I think Jindabyne might be the go again. The facilities were fantastic.

Look up sawpit creek or Kosciuscko mountain retreat. Its inside the national park about halfway between jindy and perisher. We went last year in the caravan and stayed for about 40 bucks a night.Powered sites so take a good heater and theres roos everywhere for the kids to see and feed

Good Luck,
Humie
