Can anyone please tell me the difference in low down power they've manage to get out of 3.0 litre common rail patrol with exhaust and D.P chip. Getting really tired of the lack of low down torque. Thinking of going down this track.

Hi Shane
Its done a little bit for my mates with similar engine in Navara's but its really not enough.
Saturday we we matching cars lugging up a 1000ft rise with tight bits.
The main next car was a turbo 80 series 4.2 with exhaust as
well didn't go bad but as soon as even it went off turbo below 1500 rpm it just couldn't do the job.
The low down torque of my petrol patrol was clearly better, more even and could pick up even after dips below 800 rpm.
So while you can do a bit better , I wouldn't invest a lot , better to save it for something that is fundamentaly better.

Hi Shane,
Same here, although I've only added a (DP) chip, no exhaust modifications yet. The chip adds some additional grunt, but only above about 1,900 rpm, certainly not where I wanted or needed it. There's still very poor power/torque below these revs.
I think a freer flowing dump pipe and exhaust may help, but I suspect the improvement will be minor and too little. And by the way, the engine braking is also less than I expected. I'm not sure what the remedy is, but
mine may
well be one of these:
- replacement engine, either DMax 4.5L V8 TD or rumoured Nissan 3-3.5L V6 TD, or
- replacement vehicle, I have a ute, so not much choice here: 70-series with the V8.
