Hi, I ve got a 79 series cruiser and was thinking making a canopy for it. I am also in two minds whether to sell it and spend a bit more money on a well equiped 100 series. I ve had cruiser tray backs before and they arn't that comforatble or nice to drive, but tough.
What are the pros and cons of each vehicle, 79 series with a canopy, dual batt, or 100 series with a bit of fruit, _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx, dual bat, etc
We like to get away a bit in the Pilbara, so long trips are on the agenda....I also have a wife that likes some comfort as most do!!!
Thanks for taking the time to reply

JB,

I went the 100 Seriers route and chopped it to a dual cab due to having 2 kids.

When the kids have packed up and left home I am going to go back to a Cruiser Ute.

If you are after some comfort then go the 100 Series.

Cheers Kev

What Kev said, and you can chop a 100 into a dual cab and if you still love it when the kids grow up you can chop it into a single cab and have the room and comfort.

If you want to keep the 79 series - DO NOT take the cheese and kisses for a drive in a 100 series because the decision will be taken out of your hands. I have a 2005 105S cruiser and it is very comfortable even in the roughest country.

Buy a Hilux 4dr SR5 D4D.

With the change, do it up, buy some fuel, couple of beverages.
