On 18 April 2009 we travelled via Kalgoorlie out along the trans Australia railway track for 400k to Rawlina station.
It was a great couple of days as we had never been to a rodeo before. The Indian Pacific train went past while we were there and was tooting
the horn and the passengers were waving.
There were about 350 people there mainly from WA and South Australia.
Cheers
Billy

Mechpete.
Its a shame some station people are grumpy sometimes.
Its a much easier to gain track information with the electronic information systems and detailed maps available today.
We are doing the
Gary junction run to Alice In july.
Cheers

Onya Lionel. It is an anual event. The track out there is a picturesqe run, You can plug into Kalgoorlie tourism and they should have dates on when the event is or you can ring Rawlina Station and he will give you details. Thats what I did when I heard it was on,
Cheers

We were there 2 yrs ago.
Some dude rolled a ute, but escaped injury by way of being very relaxed at the wheel
The road to Kal is beuatiful, esp when towing a broken down Landcruiser all the way

Bob. That would have been a Nissan you towed because Land Cruisers do not break down.
Cheers
