If you are looking for a nice grassed, shady Caravan Park at Barcaldine `Roses n Things` is a beauty. The park is attached to the tourist attraction Rose Garden which serves devonshire teas and lunches plus a beaut gift shop. A family run business and truly lovely people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay,

Hi Bruce,

It is only a small Park 15 sites and has only just opened up. We were actually the first to use it. It is 44 Coolabah St, Barcaldine. 0427223930 $25 a night. The other two Parks are closer to the highway and you get some roadtrain noises. Hope you enjoy it.
The scones jam and cream were great at the adjoining cafe.
Cheers Peter & Gwen

If that is the one on the left just as you come in from the east then we stayed there a few weeks back and it certainly is a good one. All clean, neat and well maintained. One night for us camping was $15.
We only stayed for one night as we had to be in Adelaide for our son's CSM medal investiture (brag brag brag).

Also I needed to be near the facilities as I had just had an operation on my ankle and it was still a bit "how are you" and we were just camping. Unlike some parks they helped and put us close by the facilities. Not a long walk from the tent area but everything helps when the old pegs aren't working as they used to.

I hope this is the one if so you should be fine. There is a good Pizza shop in town but they are a little slow as they only have a small oven.

No this Park is in Coolabah St and is $25 for a powered site.

Nice and quiet, backs onto horse paddocks.

We always stay at the showgrounds, but I've heard that it has gone from $10 a night to $20. $25 a bit high for Barcy I would have thought, am going to try the weir this trip, great spot use to ride out there on my horse for a swim when I was a kid back in the 60's. Yep lived in Barcy for 10 years great memories.

Bruce, probably put the price up to help pay for that monstrosity they built around the Tree of Knowledge, but Barcy is still a great place
