Recently i was trying on here to find out how to get hold of the above business.
I spent two days on the net and didnt find it despite my best efforts.
So I bought a satellite setup from
Perth which I am happy with.
I arrived in
Katherine today to drive up the main street and find
JOHNNYS ELECTRONICS & SATELLITE SETS.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no wonder I couldnt find it
LOL :-(((((((
Havent checked his prices yet but will 2morrow afternoon.
My set from
Perth Accessantennas cost $578for a Strong box with record and a 780mm squarish dish, tripod, satfinder, DVD of how to a inclinemeter which is a big help getting correct angle and full written instructions and angles for all over Australia.
Takes 5 min max to set it up.
Cheers

True but how on earth do you do that without drilling holes in both the dish and the tripod.

Doug
Everyone in
Katherine knows it as Johnny's Electronics. You would probably be already aware of the business.
For those that aren't he is situated near the corner of
Katherine Terrace (Stuart Highway) and Giles Street, opposite the
post office.

You are dead right.
The reason for this post is that it was asked on here a few weeks
ago. what was the name of the guy in
Katherine who sells the
satellite gear and several said "Jimmys"
Close but no bingo as I found out today

I live in
Katherine and know the
shop well. Unfortunately I didn't see the original post a few weeks ago or I could have provided the info then.
Have been a bit busy lately. My wife and I are in
Adelaide she had to have an operation. Can't wait to get back to
Katherine. Left
Adelaide in 1975 and being here has reminded me of all the reasons I left.

This is a perfect example of how dumb and unintelligent a computer is and how we can stuff it up with the wrong spelling.
No mate I am not having a go at you.
I would suggest you take it as an perfect example of how to deal with computers and anyone after the baby boomers. I was watching one of our wonderful servants in
Canberra fill out a form for me and she spelt my name as "Filup". Thats a new one. A hospital spelt my wifes surname wrong and added her operation details for a new operation into some other persons record. She was (the real one) then dropped to the end of a several year queue.
Maybe next time you are searching for something use the old google and try different words. For example "electronics katherine" shows both this and other postings referring to Jimmys and the real one referring to Johnnys.
Like I said "not having a go at you". Just a lesson for us all.
4 days until we leave. YEY YEY

I am pretty up on things really and tried several variations but as several gave the name as Jimmys I didnt think to try variations of a name.
Really shows that peoples memories are not always what they thnk.
Anyway I have a set, a bit more expensive than I thought but very esy to set up so Im happy.

Went up to Johnnys today and yes his prices are probably cheaper and the stuff is similar to what I got.
However didnt include a card so thats $99. and the dish wasnt quite as good.
However Im happy with what i got.

I put in electronics
katherine nt and Johnny's Electronics came up as the third item to
check. It gave their phone number and an opprtunity to ask for a quote.
Cheers,
Bruce
