John,
If your are going to do this after the 2010 National Gathering in
Wiluna then you may need to change the dates to start from the 03/07/2010 as that is when the Gathering in
Wiluna finishes.
Cheers Kev

I won't commit just yet but may tag along for some of that trip, depends on how much time I can get off work.
Cheers Kev

John you reckon it will take you a month to do that section?
Depending on the availability of ULP/OPAL in that region I may be able to extend the time and join your merry band. Was contemplating hiring a C/T for the EO
Wiluna Gathering but if we decide to join you wont bother hiring one.

Hi Dunc, I haven't fine-tuned the trip as I am awaiting to see what interest there is. If there's no interest, we'd just make it up as we went because, being retired, we're not stuck to firm end dates.
If there is enough momentum I'll create a loose itinerary and message it to those on the list.
The 'one month' is just an off the head max estimate at this stage but I would guess it probably wouldn't take that, esp if we come to the CSR off the Talawana.
Cheers. JB.

Hi Dunc et Kev, I've just amended the Gathering text to include the following:
Note, subect to re-checking I have estimated the distances for the W24 option at 1589kms and the W33 option at 1913kms.
Assuming 5 hours/day actual driving at 35kph average, the total durations would be in the order of 9 days for W24 option and 11 days for W33 option. I have blocked out 14 days to provide a buffer for side trips such as
Calvert Range.
If anyone thinks my calcs/assumptions are off the mark pls message me.
Cheers. JB.
