The driver and rear passengers electric windows in our Terrano 99 2.7D have failed. Apparently it's not the wiring but winder/motor? (sorry) needs replacing at a cost of $650 and $400 respectively. Anyone have a similar problem or know of a cheaper option?

Just be careful that the electric motor hasnt dropped off the window rail(for the want of a better term) It would seem coincidental that both motors went at the same time. Mine dropped off the Cruiser and it was just a case of resetting them on the window mechinism. That only cost the price of some decent glue and a bit of patience resetting them. Good Luck

Hi Jo,

Try the 4wd wrecking yards. I just replaced my drivers side window for the second time and this time purchased the motor and brackets for $110 from Halls in Melbourne.

Cheers.Just Do It!
