Looking through a few pictures I couldn't help notice the diffence in the
water level at
Tjingkulatjatjarra Pool comparing pictures from 2007 and 2008.

I had noticed last year that there was very little
water around in the deserts. It may have been a particularly dry year I think.

I wonder what
the pool looks like now?

Alan
I leave on Monday so I don't really want to see any
water.. :-)
Was talking to a mate I hadn't seen in 5 years, I shared a house with in
Cairns in my younger days.
He's got back into going on 4WD trips again, and just re visited the Rudull river.
Anyway he told me he drove the first vehicle to Desert Queens as he worked for Telfer in the late 70's
He was saying how much things had changed.
It is on the list, so one day
Cheers
Richard

It was very similar to your 2008 photo a few weeks ago.

Thanks for all your replies - Hopefully the area will get some really substantial rain soon.
I've almost got the name rolling off the tongue now...just takes a bit of practice :))
