Hi Guys
Does the standard Toyota sub fuel tank as fitted to troop carriers actually transefer fuel from it to the main to the engine or does it use a solenoid or such to switch between fuel lines/tanks ?

Sorry if this seems a dumb question but it's my first diesel and first duel fuel tank system other than petrol/LPG.

Many Thanks.
Kind Regards
John

John,

Troopies use solenoid/s depending on model. Earlier ones had only one solenoid, with bypass fuel going into front tank, while later models have 2, and supply and bypass fuel is switched to whichever tank you are using.

Hooroo...
