Hi Everyone,
Need some advice. Have just purchased a 120 series Prado without a Bullbar. I am leaning towards an ARB steel one and was wondering if any Prado owners on this sight have gone the same way and if their vehicle has been affected in any way with the weight of the bar.
Thanks in anticipation
Howard T

My mate has a 2008 Prado and he put the deluxe steel ARB bar on it. Very nice looking bit of kit. Moves a bit on corrugations but no problems so far and he has travelled the Southern half of Australia in it.

Very happy with my ARB bar. The reason for the so called "movement" on corrugations etc... is because the bar is attached directly to the chasis, and the body of the vechicle moves seperately to the bar. The body has various rubber mounts etc to attach it to the chasis so it appears to move differently to the bull bar. This is also necessary for correct airbag operation.
Because I also carry a fair amount of weight in the vehicle, I also had a 2" lift kit put in. The vehicle rides much better with the
suspension upgrade.

Have done over 160k on our 04 with the ARB Deluxe Bar with winch and spotties on it with no ill effects, and this has included some shocking roads and tracks in western Qld, FNQ and SA.
Would highly recommend.
Cheers,
Geoff
