I am curious how others think. Mine has just hit a major milestone yesterday, and although she has plenty of miles under the belt, she still fires up first time every time, is still as beautiful as the first day I bought her home and is totally dependable so I am not thinking of trading in for a newer model but I hear others talking about "the time to trade her in" and am curious as to when others think this might be?

Of course, I am talking about my wife turning 40 yesterday. I know she will read the responses and log in to see what's happening so HAPPY BIRTHDAY darling.

Running to hide right now. There goes any chance of a 4wd weekend any time soon hehehehe. If I don't respond to any replies, will someone report me missing please.

Cheers Trevor.
(PS love you Judy).

Al,

20 goes into 40 by a factor of 4 times greater than 40 goes into 20.

Trev mightn't be up to it!

Trev, spend a couple of bucks on her, clean her up a bit, and she'll be good for many years to come.

Careful Trevor.

She might prefer it if you did trade her in, mate. After all you know who buys all the old bombs, don't you?

G/Day Trevor

Just check when her Use By Date or Best Before Date expires, also does she require a Major Service, or a Waxing, these are things you have to consider, I gave a lot of thought re: the Cook and decided to give her a few more Accessories, she wears them on her Fingers, talking about the number 40, I have to start planning for our 40th Wedding Anniversary in a few months,Give Judy a Big Hug and a Big Present, if you don't you will be sleeping in your 4x4 lol lol.

Cheers

Happy Birthday Judy!
You had me going for a minute Trev, I really was thnking you were considering trading in the green GU!!

But you got a good point on your question about vehicles and what is it that brings us to start to consider 'trading her in'..

I'll trade someone my husband for another 4wd!! carpenter/joiner by trade, good at anything with his hands..might be handy if you were wanting to trade yourself in but don't want the missus to notice you are gone...
