Has anyone camped down behind the showground?
If so what is it like - are there trees and is it close to the river .
Is it a
camping area or a caravan
park?

Haven't actually camped there , but have checked it out a couple of times.....plenty of trees, some
camping and some powered sites also....approx 20feet down to the river( which is approx 20feet away , but fenced).
Showers and
toilets....I think you check in with the caretaker..he lives in town, ask at a
shop !!

G'day Di
Sure have. Great little spot.
Whilst there are trees why would you want them at this time of the year? Also I reckon the
water would be a bit nipply!
As the other poster said both powered and unpowered available. Fairly popular with caravans when we were there.
Caretaker dude comes around and catches up with you - just go in and set up wherever you like. At least that was the deal when we were there not too long ago.
Cheers from the Moose

Thanks Gronk & Moose
I asked about trees as I don't like open, barren looking
places. Don't mind the old bit of salt bush if theres nothing else but I am partial to a few trees around.
Am catching up with a few friends up there soon
Thanks for the info
