I am travelling from Melb to Karratha march 2004. we will be staying in our ACT Campervan, that has 2 double beds at each end. There will be 2 adults, 10year and a 14th mth old baby. pretty cosy.

I am wondering if anyone has ideas on setting up a cot/bed for a 14mth old baby -as a porta cot will take up too much floor space.

Any ideas on ways to turn a couch into a temporary cot every 2nd or 3rd day would be good.

Hints on travelling with a baby will also be greatly appreciated.

Mattress on the floor. As long as the doors are shut and noone steps on babe during the night... can't wander, can't fall out. Royce www.funshow.com.au

Yvonne - do you have one of those kids sofa flip out beds? That might be the trick for you as the bed can double as a couch at play time when you need it, is easy to wash, light, smaller to pack than a porta-cot etc. Have you seen the Travellingwith kids page onthis site for other ideas?Regards Michelle,
