Bob of KAOS
I am taking my 83 yo old Dad out bush tomorrow. Mum died a couple of weeks ago so it will a be good chance for him to have a real break.
We are flying to AS where my son awaits with the Disco. We head firstly to
Yuendumu to see friends then to points further west: Nirripi, Newhaven and the eastern side of
Lake Mackay.
Provided its not too wet - and the Disco doesn't let us down:-) we should be OK
I'll report on my return.

Good on you Bob, sorry to hear about your Mum, but still life has to go on & that seems to be what you & your Dad are doing. Have a safe trip & look forward to hearing how you went. How long are you off for? Cheers

Barry
Thanks.
Won't be gone long - back at work next week. I thought I'd test the old bloke out before going too far.

That will be a special trip Bob, three generations around the campfire.
Make the most of your time together.
It's always sad when you lose your Mum, they are special. Commiserations.

Bob,
just a little info for you, it takes about 12months for someone to get over the loss of a loved one.
They will just act a bit differently and you will notice it.
All the best

Enjoy the trip Bob,
Nothing like going bush to get the weight of life off your shoulders for a while. ( even if it is only for a few days.)
As gone bush said... 3 generations around a
camp fire is a wonderful thing..
I wish I could drag my old man away with us!..
