Came across this
http://tinyurl.com/n33uc5
and was wondering if it could be adapted to fit between a
snorkel [Safari, say] and the standard LC air cleaner. I understand that the 80 series had one and Prados have one as
well, but not the LC100.
Methinks that this would be a good way to go instead of fitting a power-sucking pre-cleaner on top of the
snorkel
Thoughts?

found it easier to mount a donaldson type pre cleaner on my
snorkel. I wipe its walls with oil with about 3mm in the bottom and my air filter stays clean as.

Pajeros have always had them as standard.
They're used on big trucks and on helicopters to filter out larger particles.

Mate they already have them in the pipe between the inner guard and the filter box the duck bill is hidden below that short pipe aswell. when fitting a
snorkel some people remove them as they are quite a large restriction to air flow
check out the LCOOL site.
cheers
