Ever gone to Members to see who is on line and seen the multiple persons of the same name? Some log in error I presume.

Thought I would check it out tonight. 92 Members Online tonight, problem is some are listed many times and they all add to the total.

SO how many are actually online? When you check this out MAYBE 50% LESS :-)

I know who cares :-) but can it be fixed? Cheers Tony

Glad you are online - did not check to see if you were on multipul times though :-) June can still be wet on the Tropical Coast and Tablelands, starts to dry end of July. Great time of year for the Cape and you will enjoy the trip. They had good rain uo there this year so you will see it at its best. If you have time drop us a line - we may be able to point you to a few sights. Cheers Tony

Yep, I to have often wondered about that statistic, & it is intersting to note that there is often multiple log ins from the actual EO management people.

Maybe they use it that way to give the impression that there are more moderators lurking about than there actually is. A bit like the card board cut out coppers on the side of the road that they used to have around the Gold Coast to stop us speeding. LOL & cheers

Mate, Way to much time on you hands. LOL

I think it as something to do with login time.
I've seen where I've shown up as being logged in a few times. And It was when there were a few power outages due to storms.
Hmm,
I'm thinking, that if you navigate away from the site and then come back it shows up as twice, each time that you've logged in adds another.

Bugger this, I'm off to watch the footy.

Jon enjoy the footy :-) P/S - I was bored - but took time to count the 92 logins - some were listed 6 times.

AS YOU SAY - Bugger this, I'm off to watch the footy. :-)

Yep, that's correct. Your name appears when you first log in then as you move around different sections of the site it will appear.

I would imagine it refreshes itself at certain intervals.

Cheers.

It is recorded once per session - If you name is listed multiple times it means your browser is not accepting the session cookie and basically logging you on multiple times. As for the EO id's showing up a lot we have upto 8 machines in the office and house running processes and function on the server all the time and each one of these machines is classed as one session. If you have multiple browsers on your machine and fire up an IE one and an FF one you will be shown as two users in the list as you have two different browsers/computers that are using the same cookie.

The cookies being used are a very basic session cookie - if you computer is showing you logged in many time then check or adjust your system to accept session cookies from www.exploroz.com and then you should be listed once.

There is one other time that many sessions get started and that is when I do a compile of the code as the server processes restart - I have done this three times this in the last 2 hours so this will attribute a few extrat sessions however these will remove every hour or so.

Hope this gives you some insight on this and that the count should be correct if everyone had their systems 100% but this is unrealistic so we get a number that is basiclaly as correct as we can.

Hi David,
I am noticing the occasional overlay happening in followups. This has happened on this thread with Tony & Julie (FNQ) followup overlaying the bottom of the follow up written by Steveinoz (NSW).

Other than that, haven't found any problems todate.

May be this is the problem

Recently, I was diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D. -
Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.
This is how it manifests:

I decide to water my garden.

As I turn on the hose in the driveway,
I look over at my car and decide it needs washing.

As I start toward the garage,
I notice mail on the porch table that
I brought up from the mail box earlier.

I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.

I lay my car keys on the table,
put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table,
and notice that the can is full.

So, I decide to put the bills back
on the table and take out the garbage first.

But then I think,
since I'm going to be near the mailbox
when I take out the garbage anyway,
I may as well pay the bills first.

I take my check book off the table,
and see that there is only one check left.

My extra checks are in my desk in the study,
so I go inside the house to my desk where
I find the can of Coke I'd been drinking.

I'm going to look for my checks,
but first I need to push the Coke aside
so that I don't accidentally knock it over.

The Coke is getting warm,
and I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.

As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke,
a vase of flowers on the counter
catches my eye--they need water.

I put the Coke on the counter and
discover my reading glasses that
I've been searching for all morning.

I decide I better put them back on my desk,
but first I'm going to water the flowers.

I set the glasses back down on the counter,
fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote.
Someone left it on the kitchen table.

I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV,
I'll be looking for the remote,
but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table,
so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs,
but first I'll water the flowers.

I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor.

So, I set the remote back on the table,
get some towels and wipe up the spill.

Then, I head down the hall trying to
remember what I was planning to do.

At the end of the day:

the car isn't washed

the bills aren't paid

there is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter

the flowers don't have enough water,

there is still only 1 check in my check book,

I can't find the remote,

I can't find my glasses,

and I don't remember what I did with the car keys.

Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today,
I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all damn day,
and I'm really tired.

I realize this is a serious problem,
and I'll try to get some help for it,
but first I'll check my e-mail......

Do me a favor.
Forward this message to everyone you know,
because I don't remember who the hell I've sent it to.

Don't laugh -- if this isn't you yet, your day is coming!!
